SheEO: Digital Communications for a Global Women’s Fund
SheEO is a radically redesigned ecosystem that supports, finances, and celebrates female innovators. Launched in 2015, the visionary model supports female founders through funding, mentorship, and a radically generous network. I initially joined the team as a digital media consultant supporting their objectives to expand the SheEO message online, deeply engage their community, and connect their global network now spanning Canada, the U.S., New Zealand, and Australia. In 2018, my role expanded to Marketing and Communications Manager where I supported the organization in communications strategy, process innovation, creative team management, partner promotion, program launches, and social media management.
Prioritizing the team’s goals of scaling fast, I created foundational structures to support the organization’s growth including an automated drip campaign for their fall email marketing campaign, developed brand content guidelines, content calendar creation and management, and analytic reporting structures for web and social platforms.
Successfully executing an automated email campaign that resulted in a 50% open rate and increased subscriber base
Incorporating the brand’s community values by engaging SheEO members in content creation and featuring their personal testimonials and letters in organization emails
Developing voice and tone guidelines, key messaging and partner promotional packages
Executing the brand’s first bi-weekly Radical Generosity newsletter featuring content from their global community
Creating digital strategies for program launches and the brand’s new youth initiative
Supporting the creative team in direction, editing, and planning for the website, content development, and editorial content
Spearheading new content pieces including a bold statement on diversity and “honouring” animations for new members
Leading SheEO’s live social coverage at key events including their annual SheEO summit
