Syzygy Toronto
Syzygy Toronto was the first venture I co-founded— an experiment in cultivating community through distinct values and offline, phone-free spaces. I created Syzygy alongside my co-founder Marijke Large as a niche event-based community for women and non-binary people to gather, reflect, and lead—centered on themes like mental health, equity, and self-expression.
Through thoughtfully produced, sold-out events, we brought together hundreds of attendees and partnered with 20+ mission-aligned brands including Province Apothecary, Bite Beauty, and Greenhouse Juice. RBC also invited us to lead an International Women’s Day program for their senior executives. Our speaker lineup featured voices like Kayley Reed, Kenzie Brenna, and Liz Lokre—women working at the intersection of advocacy, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

“I left Syzygy feeling inspired to seek leadership roles in the workplace and support the women in my life to do the same.”

“The session hosted by Syzygy was so refreshing and engaging. They were able to facilitate what can sometimes be a difficult topic to navigate in the workplace. The result was a really powerful and positive conversation among colleagues on a topic that we don’t often discuss meaningfully. Kailah and Marijke were fantastic – in setting the tone for the session and creating a space where people felt comfortable to share and participate.”
